Services we provide

It is a pleasure to welcome you to our Optometry Practice. If you're looking for quality eye care with a personal touch, we hope to become your Family's Vision Care provider.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Family Vision Care was closed from March 20-April 22, 2020. We reopened on April 23, 2020 on a limited basis. Now, as of October 1, 2020 the front door/waiting room area has be reopened and we are doing business as usual with some precautions. Before entering, you will be screened for fever and asked pertinent questions recommended by the CDC and the GOA/AOA Optometry boards in order to enter for exam services, frame selection/repair/adjustment/pickup, contact lens order/pickup, or an emergency visit. It is recommended to have one patient in the exam rooms and/or dispensing area at a time. To keep everyone safe, we will be disinfecting all equipment, frames, chairs, counters, door knobs, and light switches before the next patient is seen.  Face masks are optional but encouraged while in the office. 

"WARNING: Under Georgia law, there is no liability, for an injury or death of an individual entering these premises at 500 North Parrish Avenue; Adel, Georgia 31620, if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of contracting COVID-19 in our office. You are assuming the risks by entering this location."  We are doing our best to keep each person safe during his or her visit, however, there still remains significant risk.

As an option, our office will be offering curbside repairs and pick-ups for glasses and contact lenses. Come to the front door to let us know you are in the parking lot.

We hope to offer normal service as soon as we can. Please be patient. It is our goal to keep your wait time to a minimum. We are doing our best to answer all calls and texts in a timely manner.

Family Vision Care (FVC) was started in 2001 by Dr. Tim Sellers after his father, Dr. James "Doc" Sellers, retired. Over the years, Dr. Tim has seen the practice grow and experience many changes. Our "growth" is due to "word of mouth" since many of our patients tend to refer their family and friends.  "Change" has come in the form of a face lift while keeping up with new technology, equipment, and the latest fashion trends. It is simple, you are our number one priority and we will work hard to earn your trust. We believe you deserve time with our doctor, have all your questions answered, and receive  best quality we can offer. Read on and you will find out in more detail what we are about.

We pride ourselves in offering a COMPLETE High Quality Comprehensive Eye Health Evaluation while taking the time to answer ALL of your questions. Our goal is to evaluate, inform and educate our patients about their eye health and vision needs. First of all, we do not schedule 40 or more patients a day leaving little time to spend with the doctor. You deserve our time and attention to manage your eye health and vision care needs. No five minute exams with Dr. Sellers. We give you the necessary time to ask your questions all while explaining the answer in a way anyone can understand. You will never be rushed and questions are encouraged. You might even learn something about your eyes you did not already know. More knowledge can help you manage your own vision and eye health better. We want you to be happy with your experience and leave with the confidence you were given a complete vision and eye health performance check.

Our eye health evaluation offers a personalized and compassionate approach using the latest technology with innovative solutions. Dr. Tim practices full scope Optometry specializing in glasses and contact lenses, as well as the diagnosis, treatment, and co-management of eye diseases and eye emergencies. The scope of practice includes glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, cataract diagnosis and post-op co-management as early as one day (saving travel out of town), diabetic retinopathy diagnosis and co-management, macular degeneration (ARMD) diagnosis and co-management, proper pink eye treatment, superficial foreign body removal, eye allergies, dry eyes, and medical eye emergencies. Don't forget, we also have an awesome selection of quality brand name frames as well as a superior budget line of glasses in our dispensary, with the top contact lens brands available. You cannot go wrong with our high quality level of service and selection we have to offer.  After hours emergency number is 229-561-3068

Family Vision Care's philosophy is..."To offer honest professional advice and make recommendations for you and your family at fair prices." Family Vision Care's motto is..."Professional quality eye care at prices to fit any budget."  It simply means, you can get eye wear at fair price levels to meet your budget without sacrificing quality and service. We are unlike those "vision centers" that try to lure you in on low price advertising only to give you a five minute exam and sell you cheap glasses. Most "vision centers" typically have a philosophy to "make the sell." That means you or your family member may be recommended glasses whether you need them or not. In most cases, we can beat or match those "vision center's" prices and our service is not even comparable. Oh yeah...we always have specials, discounts, mark downs, price matching, and BOGO and package deals every single day. Check out our "Promotions" page to learn more. Here, at FVC, you will get an honest evaluation and know if you or your family members need our help.

To sum it up, we are not a "center." We are Family Vision "Care." You may get a nice fancy office and high priced decor at many of those "vision centers", but you usually get 5 minute service with the doctor, cheap or poor quality eye wear, and you could even be charged a fortune. That is not what we offer here. At Family Vision "Care," you get quality, quantity/time, over 20 years of experience, professionalism, compassion, honesty, innovation, and we also have nice decor. We accept most vision and medical insurance plans.(you can find the specific plans we accept in "Our Services" section.) We are also offering membership in our own 20/20 vision plans. Our plans offer better prices, better incentives, and an overall better plan to meet your needs. You can get more information on our plans in the "Patient Forms" section on our webpage. You can also download the application and terms of service.

We take cash, check and most major credit cards. Financing is available with Care Credit. (look over our financial policy in the "Patient Forms" section.)

I was very pleased with my visit. For one the staff was making sure all customers were practicing the Covid 19 safety steps. That made me feel safe. The nurses were very pleasant helping you with any thing you needed. Dr Seller was wonderful very clear with everything he did. My Vist was A+

Dr Sellers is so professional and personable. He really cares about ones eyesight and explains everything he sees wrong. He was willing to stay with is and talk to us as much as we needed him to. I plan to allow him to take over my eye care since he does such a great job with my daughter's. I recommend him and his staff to anybody needing superb eye care.

My entire family are patients of Dr. Sellers. He makes sure he knows your lifestyle and how you use your eyes before he decides on what kind of glasses and/or contacts you need. He also fully explains test results and what they are testing for. The office staff and nurses are all super friendly and even got my insurance to pay for my testing when I didn't even know it was covered, saving me several hundred dollars. We have been using Dr. Sellers for years and I don't see us using anyone else. I would recommend FVC to anyone looking for a friendly and competent eye doctor.

Me and my son have used Tim Sellars and Family Vision Care for about 5 years and I absolutely love them. Dr. Sellars is very patient, kind and informative. He takes his time to explain the answers to any question you may have and doesn't make you feel like he is trying to rush through the visit so I definitely appreciate that. His staff is also fabulous and kind as well. I would recommend them with utmost confidence !

I took my 10 year old daughter to get her eyes checked at the Family Vision Care office in Adel, GA and she has yet to stop talking about the visit. The entire staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. Doctor Sellers was great! He was cool, funny, and very informative. My daughter is already making up reasons to go back. It was a wonderful experience!
